Daniel Silver

Today I visited the studio of my friend, artist Daniel Silver. He is preparing his next show in Milan. If you do not know Dani’s work, maybe you might have seen  his collages for the last Acne collection. Two fluorescent pink sculptures caught my eye as well as a bronze face on a beautifully smooth wooden plinth.

I am not an expert, though I can say that I like the raw sensuality of his sculptures . . .

Grayson Perry at The British Museum

I am just back from the Grayson Perry exhibition -  “The tomb of the unknown craftsman” at the British Museum and this exhibition is a definite  “must see”.

Seidou Keita

I was just given a book of Seidou Keita’s photographs and I feel like writing a little something about this very lovely photographer from Bamako, who started with taking pictures of his family, neighbours, people he encountered in his everyday life. Until he set up a studio where he met his clients. The light he used was the very pure light of Sahel and you feel by looking at his wonderful pictures that Seidou Keita shared a deep intimacy with his subjects.
